The Campus mondial de la mer, in addition to bringing together France's leading marine science and technology community in Brest and its surroundings (42,000 maritime jobs, 1,850 researchers, 8,500 people trained every year, 1,000 publications every year) has an extremely wide range of expertise.
Beyond the traditional maritime sectors (maritime transport, fishing, shipbuilding, etc.), our region and its community – including players such as Ifremer, Shom, the Paul-Emile Victor Polar Institute, Cedre, France Energies Marines, France Cyber Maritime, Océanopolis, Maritime Préfecture but also Thales, Naval group or Exail on the industry side to name a few - have focused on innovation and developed expertise in high-potential sectors such as maritime cybersecurity, marine biotechnologies, marine renewable energies, decarbonisation of maritime transport, etc., all of which are in line with the major EU policies for the development of the blue economy.
On May 23rd the Campus mondial de la mer team manages on-site technical visits open to EMD participants so that you can discover its partners. A dozen of visits is scheduled in the afternoon of May 23rd. To access these visits, registration is mandatory under Agenda rubric.
During the EMD on May 24th and 25th you will also be able to discuss with the Campus mondial de la mer team and its funders on its pavilion within the exhibition.
